John Glanville is a drummer from Calgary, Alberta. He uses his skills as a musical communicator to help inspire and unify the musicians around him. He has performed with musicians and ensembles such as Pat Belliveau, Shane Statz, Johnny Summers, and the Prime Time Big Band. John has performed at the Ironwood, the Jack Singer Concert Hall, and the JazzYYC International Jazz Festival. He is also an active educator in Calgary. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Ambrose University where he studied under Tyler Hornby, and has attended the Ambrose Drum Camp, hosted by legendary drum set educator John Riley. In his spare time, John is a producer and mixing engineer, and he won Album of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2023.
I have been moved by music ever since I can remember. I grew up with it, and I am continuing to learn how to share the joy of music with the world, whether it be through performance, teaching, or otherwise.
